In this session participants will learn the Texas Model for School Counseling Components, look at practical ways to implement programs, understand data collection that informs decision-making and how to assess the district's Counseling Program annually.

NOTE:  This training meets the administrator requirement for the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling.


Important Session Information:


SB 179 enacted during the 87th legislative session requirements for counselors to spend 80% of their time implementing the Texas Model Comprehensive Counseling Program. In this session, we will review the components of the program as well as looking at practical ways to implement the comprehensive programming and ways to collect data to inform decision-making.  We will also review the required Annual Assessment of a district CSCP.
