  3. Region 8 ESC 2025 Students With Exceptionalities Conference
Region 8 ESC believes there is No Place Like Home for learning about students with exceptionalities. This summer's Region 8 Student Exceptionalities Conference will be held on June 4 and 5. This year's theme is There's No Place Like Home: Students with Exceptionalities. This two-day event will feature a keynote speaker to kick off the morning. The morning session will last for three hours, followed by a catered lunch, and then two breakout sessions during the afternoon that will focus on specific exceptionalities that learners face. Participants will be able to earn their annual state-mandated GT six-hour update hours. To receive GT credit, participants may opt to attend one full day or two half days. The overlying objective for the conference is to provide participants with the KNOWLEDGE of effective instruction, the COURAGE to advocate for others, the HEART for inclusivity and love, and the ability to create an environment of HOME for our students with learning exceptionalities. Also, this conference will feature sessions in place of the annual Behavior Blitz with sessions that cover behavior/social/emotional.
