Typically developing individuals gain an understanding of spacial relations and object perception by exploring their environment.  This understanding leads to the development of self-identification and the relationship between themselves and the objects around them.  How can we promote this same understanding for individuals with sensory impairments or multiple disabilities?  Join us as we dive into Lilli Nielsen, PhD.'s book Space and Self: Active Learning By Means of the Little Room to find the answer.  Participants will participate in virtual book study sessions and will then meet face to face to build their own Little Room.
