Core-Selective Evaluation Process (C-SEP) What, What and How?
Share
This session will provide evaluators an overview of Core-Selective Evaluation Process (C-SEP). The C-SEP approach to SLD identification is a third-method pattern of strengths and weakness (PSW) technique rooted in contemporary cognitive theory. It leverages multiple sources of data, professional judgment, integrated data analysis techniques, and full exploitation of norm-referenced tests, to help guide the decision-making process. C-SEP is organized around educational and evaluation practices logically interwoven to provide the most comprehensive, statistically sound, and legally defensible assessment of SLD.
