Starla Ewan presents her Hands On Body Systems "pocket lessons" that are proven to increase student learning and application of material, help make difficult content easier to learn, and can be immediately implemented into the classroom…and they are affordable!
These "side" lessons add some great "punch of learning and understanding" to the system this organ belongs too! Attend one or both parts!
Part I
This workshop includes building the skin layers to understand the many functions of the integumentary system and how this tissue is fed with having blood vessels. We will incorporate the types of burns to the skin built and treatment for each type (including non-FDA approved treatments). Participants will build a pocket lesson that will pay off for students to help them understand the renal-adrenal connection, and how these organs respond to burns and other common disorders. Kidney transplant construction will also be included. All the cool stuff that helps students "really" see what happens in the body!
