Social Studies: Teaching American History--Topic Two June 13, 2025






Region 8 ESC is excited to bring Teaching American History to Region 8 teachers.

Teaching American History supports teachers of American History, government, and civics, believing they do the most important work in America.  TAH brings the documents and debates of America's past into the present through free document-based seminars, document collections both online and in print, and other resources.  They are dedicated to making every American History, government, and civics class in America the best. 


Important Session Information:


In this workshop, your documents and workshop materials will be sent to you ahead of time.

The workshop will feature a Socratic seminar format, facilitated by a leading scholar in the field.  This format will provide you an opportunity to turn the experience around for your students to add rigor, relativity, and high Bloom's to your lessons.

The topic for this workshop is U.S. Presidents and Political Parties.
