Understanding Specific Learning Disabilities with the condition of Dyslexia
Case Studies SLD-BR/RF with condition of dyslexia

A Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) can be intimidating and confusing. The FIE includes a "variety of assessment tools and strategies" to gather information about a child. Understanding the concepts within an FIE is critical, as Dyslexia Interventionists and Diagnosticians are in a unique position to facilitate the better understanding of a student suspected of or identified with a Specific Learning Disability in the area(s) of Basic Reading and Reading Fluency with the condition of Dyslexia.  Dyslexia Interventionists may be called upon to assist in developing a child's IEP, including discussing the child's involvement in the general curriculum and determining an appropriate educational program for the child. This training will include practical examples of FIEs and case studies of students identified with a SLD - BR/RF with condition of Dyslexia.

Important Session Information:

Back by popular demand! Across two days, Dr. Mertie Gomez, PhD. will feature real-world evaluation examples as well as case studies of children who have been diagnosed with SLD-BR/RF with a condition of Dyslexia and SLD-Written Expression with a condition of Dysgraphia.
