Effective Strategies and Resources for the Social Studies Texas History Classroom
- focusing on 4th & 7th grade levels






The focus of the workshop will be strategies for more effective teaching of Texas History, focusing on 4th and 7th grade levels.  Teachers will have an opportunity to work collaboratively to design engaging lessons and will be provided resources for implementation.  Work will focus on differentiation, engagement, higher Bloom's processing TEKS, and innovation with technology.

Important Session Information:


The presenter for this session will be Ms. Megan Parker who has had great success in teaching Texas History at Pittsburg Junior High and who currently teaches RLA.  Her use of technology and use of differentiation to engage her students is something all Texas History teachers need to learn about.
