Why Can't I JUST Teach the Formulas? Looking at Instructional Practices for Math Gr 6-12

Math teachers know that math education builds upon prior knowledge.  However, in this 21st century teaching environment, it is easy to lose sight of how and why math knowledge should be taught at each level of learning.  Come join us for an insightful day presented by our Secondary Math consultant, Lisa Ellermann, and Professor Paula Wilhite, Math and Engineering Department Chair at NTCC, as they trace math learning from Middle School to College, addressing both content and instructional insight to promote higher level math success for all students.
