Social Studies: Content Resources and Instructional Strategies for Teaching the Cold War and Civil Rights Movement and their Impact on the Development of the United States for Grade 11

Participants will learn strategies to help students better understand the major causes and effects of the Cold War and the Civil Rights Movement and how these continue to play a large role in modern-day U.S. History. Teachers will develop hands-on activities and project-based learning opportunities for differentiated instruction. There will also be a focus on developing assessment questions that align with the STAAR redesign.
