Social Studies: Exploring Instructional Strategies and Engaging Activities for Our Role as Citizens in Our Community State, and Nation for Grades 3-5

Good citizenship and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship are themes running throughout the elementary social studies curricula. Participants in this workshop will learn strategies and project-based instructional activities to help students learn these concepts and to apply them to their everyday lives. Activities will be adapted to specific grade levels. Teachers will have an opportunity to develop hands-on activities and choice boards for differentiated instruction.
