G/T Day 1: Nature and Needs of Gifted/Talented Students






This workshop fulfills Day 1 of the state mandated five-day, 30-hour initial gifted and talented training for all teachers who provide G/T services to students. In Day 1, participants will focus on the following objectives:

  1. Looking at the law governing gifted/talented education
  2. Demonstrating and understanding of the characteristics/behaviors of gifted/talented learners
  3. Developing an understanding of the social and emotional needs of gifted/talented learners.
