This workshop will focus on TEKS aligned activities and strategies to make Texas History more fun and engaging for students.  Using TEKS Resource as a base for planning and designing, other resources will be incorporated.  Teachers of Texas History in Region 8 will work collaboratively on a shared Google document that will feature various problem-based learning units and lessons that can be used throughout the year.  We will also focus on vertical alignment learning opportunities to help build vocabulary and focus on specific lessons that will help prepare students for 8th grade and the STAAR assessment.
