Morning Session: Within many of our districts, teachers are alone in planning instruction for their grade level. Join us for this opportunity to come together with other teachers in 3rd grade math to collaboratively examine documents and concepts for the 1st six weeks, based on the common Scope and Sequence as presented in TEKS Resource Year at a Glance (YAG). We will use the IFD from TEKS Resource System to dig deep in the content for the 1st six weeks to understand vocabulary, big ideas, and misconceptions to gain a better insight of the content for independent instructional planning. This session will be facilitated by Kay Stickels.
Afternoon Session: This session will be an extension of the AM Session to develop a framework to address potential instructional gaps due to COVID-19 and model ways to incorporate technology to build student mathematical understandings.
