Discovering the INDIVIDUAL in the IEP

From age 3 through 21, an Individualized Education Program (IEP) is created to prepare programming to support the student's educational needs. Students are complex with many different interests, values, behaviors, and ways to communicate. It is a challenge for educators to discover ways to clearly understand and motivate the student to learn and become self-directed. By using Person-Centered Thinking skills, educators can have a better understanding of what is important TO and FOR the students and their families, learn what works and doesn't work, and determine a support system for the student to create a truly individualized program.

This will be presented by the Texas Sensory Support Network from Region 11 ESC.  You must register at https://ontrac.esc11.net/Session.asp?Wksp_Num=014691 so, prior to the event set up an account. There is a minimum of seats available so please register at both Region 8 ESC and Region 11 ESC.  A link will be sent to you for the virtual meeting.  Scheduled until 12/31/2019.
