Social Studies: Adding the Social Studies Component to SSTEAM
Share
Participants will learn how to effectively add the social studies piece to the commonly-known acronym S.T.E.A.M (S.T.E.M.). Adding a social studies component to the existing S.T.E.A.M. (S.T.E.M.) model gives students yet another dimension and facet to learning. The morning will be spent exploring strategies for implementing a social studies component within specific social studies lessons. The afternoon will be spent allowing teachers to collaborate and brainstorm other ways to implement social studies specific to their grade level assignment(s). The workshop will lend itself easily with those doing PBL centered instruction.
