Join Amy Foster, JD for a morning session which will focus on powerful prior written notices. What a district puts in a prior written notice is increasingly becoming an issue raised by parent attorneys and advocates in ARD Meetings, TEA complaints, and due process hearings. Come learn how to write a prior written notice that both helps explain the ARD committee's decision-making process and provides a basis for future legal defense, if needed. This training provides real-world examples and language you and your staff can immediately begin to use as they navigate the increasingly complicated world of special education. The afternoon session will continue with a focus on discipline and documentation.Spend the afternoon talking about hot topics in special education focusing on discipline issues and proper documentation.
