Connections Across Genres: Teach Like a Tour Guide
Did you know that RLA teachers are really destination experts? When confronted with complex texts, students need the experience of a tour guide to help them uncover information, assimilate ideas, and articulate the highlights of their discoveries. Join us as we learn to approach each complex text set like we are planning the itinerary for a guided tour or an independent excursion - ensuring that our students walk away with important souvenirs from the lesson!
This session focuses on connections in and across texts of all genres by helping students understand how to become a critical reader of author's craft.
