Starla's Hands-On Body Systems: The Magic of the Cardiovascular System and Fighting Off the Killers






Participants will build components of the cardiovascular system out of brightly colored clay to demonstrate how it keeps all 3 trillion+ cells alive and the magical tricks it uses to stay strong and healthy to last a lifetime!  Instructors will also receive teaching techniques and affordable hands-on and easy to use lessons for guiding students through the development of common cardiovascular diseases.  These lessons guide students to understand the changes that take place resulting in the development of hypertension, heart attacks, strokes, aneurysms, and congestive heart failure. Teachers will also receive activities on how to apply student research, case study activity, and lifestyle changes can reverse some of these diseases. Participants will take away their 'constructed diseases’ at the end of the workshop to their classrooms!
