Strong biliterate writers develop through intentional instruction that values both languages and provides meaningful opportunities to write, reflect, and communicate across languages. In this session, participants will explore the characteristics of effective biliteracy writing instruction, examine how writing develops in Spanish and English, and strengthen instructional practices that promote cross-language transfer. Through collaborative learning, educators will experience practical writing routines, analyze student work, and design classroom-ready lessons that support bilingual writers at every stage of development. Participants will leave with research-based strategies, instructional tools, and planning resources that can be implemented immediately.
