Bluebonnet & Social Studies: Making Connections






Discover how to strengthen social studies instruction while teaching Bluebonnet Learning with fidelity. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore grade-level crosswalks between Bluebonnet and the Texas Social Studies TEKS, identify natural opportunities for integration, and learn practical strategies to enhance lessons without adding additional instructional time. 

Participants will:

  • Explore the connections between Bluebonnet Learning and the Texas Social Studies TEKS.
  • Learn how to identify opportunities to reinforce social studies concepts within Bluebonnet lessons.
  • Discover engaging instructional strategies that integrate literacy and social studies.
  • Plan lesson enhancements that deepen student understanding while preserving Bluebonnet instructional integrity.
  • Leave with ready-to-use resources, planning tools, and classroom ideas that support both literacy and social studies success.
