Title: Misaligned: What Executive Function Reveals About Student Disengagement, Learning Gaps and Therapeutic Efficacy

Description: Many students labeled as disengaged, disruptive, or unmotivated are struggling with underdeveloped Executive Function (EF) skills. This session examines student behavior through a neurocognitive lens, revealing how weakness in EF contribute to communication breakdowns, learning challenges and classroom difficulties. Participants will learn why traditional behavior-focused interventions often fall short and how an Executive Function framework can lead to more effective support and better student outcomes.
