Day 3: Supporting Big Feelings with Smart Systems






This 3-day professional development series explores the Pyramid Model framework for supporting young children’s social-emotional development, behavior, and learning. Participants will examine practical strategies for building nurturing relationships, creating supportive classroom environments, teaching social-emotional skills, and addressing challenging behaviors through developmentally appropriate practices. Through interactive learning and real-world application, educators will strengthen their ability to foster positive outcomes for all young children.

Important Session Information:


This session focuses on individualized intensive interventions and effective behavior support practices within the Pyramid Model framework. Participants will examine strategies for understanding the meaning behind challenging behaviors, developing behavior support plans, and using data-driven approaches to respond to children with significant social-emotional needs. Emphasis will be placed on creating consistent systems that support regulation, resilience, and positive outcomes for young children.
