Thank you for choosing to complete this one-hour online course.  The "PICK SIX" options began May 15, 2026 and will give you more variety and convenience in completing your annual six-hour GT Update.  Each of these "Pick Six" one-hour courses counts as one hour of credit/PD toward you six-hour state mandated hours.  The courses will end on May 31, 2027. PLEASE remember to print your certificate after completing the course.  You will find your certificate ready to print in your Region 8 ESC teacher account.  You can complete the short survey and then print your certificate.

Servicing gifted students in the psychomotor domain is justified when a learner demonstrates exceptional coordination, control, timing, strength, or expressive movement that significantly exceeds age-level expectations and requires opportunities beyond the general curriculum. These students benefit from specialized instruction, advanced training, and access to resources that develop both fine and gross motor skills in areas such as athletics, dance, or skilled technical performance. Providing targeted support helps prevent underdevelopment of talent, promotes discipline and goal-setting, and addresses social-emotional needs such as perfectionism or frustration that can arise when their abilities are not adequately challenged. Ultimately, appropriate services ensure that psychomotor giftedness is nurtured with the same intentionality as intellectual or creative giftedness, allowing students to reach their full potential while maintain
