Each of these "Pick Six" one-hour courses counts as one hour of credit/PD toward you six-hour state mandated hours. The courses will end on May 31, 2027. Examining giftedness beyond just an IQ score is essential because intelligence is multifaceted and cannot be fully captured by a single numerical measure. While IQ tests may identify certain cognitive strengths, they often overlook critical dimensions such as creativity, leadership, problem-solving in real-world contexts, emotional intensity, cultural and linguistic diversity, and domain-specific talents. A more comprehensive approach allows educators to recognize students who may be underrepresented in traditional identification processes, including multilingual learners, twice-exceptional students, and those from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
