Each of these "Pick Six" one-hour courses counts as one hour of credit/PD toward you six-hour state mandated hours. The courses will end on May 31, 2027. PLEASE remember to print your certificate after completing the course. You will find your certificate ready to print in your Region 8 ESC teacher account. You can complete the short survey and then print your certificate.
Differentiated instruction for gifted and talented (GT) students is essential because it aligns learning experiences with their advanced readiness levels, faster processing speeds, and deeper intellectual and creative capacities. Without intentional differentiation—through acceleration, enrichment, or complexity—GT students are at risk of disengagement, underachievement, and unmet social-emotional needs. By adjusting content, process, and products, educators can provide meaningful challenge, foster critical and creative thinking, and support students in developing their potential while also promoting equity; differentiation ensures that GT learners, like all students, receive instruction that is responsive to their unique strengths, interests, and learning profiles rather than a one-size-fits-all curriculum.
