Teaching Grammar As You Go
Share
Grammar instruction is most effective when embedded within authentic reading and writing experiences. This session explores how to teach grammar and syntax through mentor sentences and paragraphs drawn from complex texts. Participants will examine how sentence structure influences meaning and tone and design craft-focused mini-lessons that strengthen student writing. Teachers will move away from isolated grammar drills toward contextualized language study that supports reading comprehension and composition simultaneously. Practical routines and mini-lesson structures will equip teachers to teach conventions with purpose.
