A practical, expert-provided series of sessions to equip Educational Diagnosticians, School Psychologists, and SLPS to conducting accurate and defensible evaluations for Emergent Bilingual students.
 
You will learn how to analyze language proficiency, apply bilingual assessment practices, and confidently distinguish between language difference and disability—using clear frameworks, including the C-LIM, that you can apply immediately.
 
 
 

Important Session Information:


This EB Evaluation series will be provided by an expert in the field, Roxana Stanley. 

This session focuses on establishing and interpreting oral language proficiency as a foundational component of bilingual evaluations. Participants will learn practical methods for assessing proficiency and dominance across all languages, selecting appropriate tools, incorporating multiple data sources, and using results to guide defensible eligibility decisions. Emphasis is placed on avoiding common pitfalls and strengthening documentation. This session is for monolingual and bilingual evaluators.
