Under the Microscope: Elementary Science Basics in K-5
For New Science Teachers






This session is for anyone new to teaching elementary science.  It will cover how to start your school year with interactive labs, activities, and notebooking ideas along with the basics of science safety.  Time will be spent on how to organize your year using the Year at a Glance (YAG)  and Instructional Focus Document (IFD) in TEKS Resource System.  We will also discuss the Three-D Approach to teaching the science TEKS and review the importance of engaging investigative labs.

If you are new to science or just need a refresher, then please join us for this informative session!
