Virtual PD - LPAC Decision-Making Process for the Texas Assessment Program






Learn the requirements of the Texas Assessment Program for Emergent Bilinguals (EBs). Participants will receive an LPAC Decision-Making Manual to help LPACs comply with state requirements as they monitor progress and needs of EBs and make decisions on State Assessments and TELPAS. NOTE: This training does not encompass information about testing for program entry and exit or other LPAC responsibilities.


Important Session Information:


In this Zoom training, we will cover the following items: (1) Guide LPACs in making decisions about the inclusion of EBs including parent denials in the Texas Assessment Program and (2) promote an increased awareness of the educational needs of our EBs. This will help you prepare for your Middle of the Year (MOY) LPAC as you make decisions about STAAR, STAAR Alternate 2, TELPAS and TELPAS Alternate along with test attributes. We will also discuss Years in US Schools.
