This course will help teachers prepare for the newly-mandated half-semester of personal financial literacy for students to be eligible for graduation.
The course has been designed to ensure that every student graduates with the financial knowledge needed to make informed decisions about money, from budgeting and understanding products and services offered by local banks and credit unions, to building credit and investing.
This workshop will focus on the newly-added TEKS found in TCMPC as a curriculum support system. Participants will examine closely the YAG and the IFDs for each unit of study. Additionally, teachers will engage in hands-on activities to accompany each unit for easy turn-around in their classrooms.
