Chapter 74 - Texas Education Code Updates & Information






In this workshop, participants will gain knowledge of current graduation requirements as defined by Chapter 74 of the Texas Education Code.  Participants will also gain knowledge of CTE Programs of Study, Industry Based Certification guidelines and the Texas First Early HS Completion Program.

This workshop is for any school staff who are scheduling, advising and responsible for making sure students meet all graduation requirements.  Some of the topics include:

  • Performance Acknowledgements and Distinguished Requirements
  • District Expectations
  • Individual Graduation Committees (IGC's)
  • Additional Graduation Requirements
  • Setting Up Grad Plans in Ascender
