On Demand: G/T PICK SIX 2025-26: Growing Up Gifted: A Student's Perspective






Thank you for choosing to complete this one-hour online course. The "PICK SIX" options offer you even variety and flexibility in completing your annual six-hour GT Update. This year’s theme is “GT in the Sub-Pops”, as we explore the various sub populations of students through the lens of Gifted and Talented Services. 

This one-hour course features Emily Murman who leads a Tedx Talk about her struggles and triumphs as a twice-exceptional student.  Her story is captivating as she discusses her true talent, art, as the escape mechanism for her as she worked to resolved many social and emotional issues during her K-12 experience.  You will answer some key-points questions from her presentation and then have an opportunity to reflect on not only her message but also on any experiences you may have had either in working with individuals like her in your career or outside the education world.
