Read Aloud-Think Aloud
- for early childhood teachers

Vocabulary development is the foundation of developing comprehension. Read Aloud activities help teachers teach new vocabulary with context, including what good readers do when they read. Help support children’s learning by making meaningful connections and increasing oral language with your classroom Read Aloud.

Important Session Information:

Reading aloud is a powerful tool for developing the foundational literacy skills essential for learning to read. When combined with rich dialogue—such as thinking aloud and meaningful conversations—read-aloud time becomes even more impactful. This workshop will explore strategies to make the most of this critical learning opportunity by helping prekindergarten teachers be planful, purposeful, and playful.
