Navigating the Short Constructed Response Early
- for Grades K-2nd
Share
Constructed responses are a crucial part of assessing student understanding, even for our younger learners. In this session, we will focus on refining our approach to preparing K-2 students for the Short Constructed Response (SCR) on the STAAR test in an age-appropriate way. By analyzing STAAR data, we will explore strategies to align our instruction with the test's expectations. We’ll ensure that the instruction is developmentally appropriate, allowing students to make meaningful connections as they advance in their academic journey. Together, we’ll identify ways to build confidence in writing and lay the groundwork for success.
