Preparing for a TEA Dyslexia Cyclical Review
Collaborative Discussion






All Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in the state will participate in a cyclical review of their dyslexia program every six years. Cyclical reviews are intended to provide a comprehensive analysis of the LEA’s special education program, including a review of the LEA’s special education policies and practices. The purpose of the dyslexia monitoring process is to ensure LEA compliance with federal and state dyslexia requirements through a review of LEA procedures and artifacts of implementation. The goal of this session is to provide an opportunity for collaboration across Region 8 regarding activities, tools, and tips to prepare for cyclical monitoring. If your LEA is scheduled for a cyclical review in the 24-25 school year, please join us. Anyone is welcome to attend, even if your LEA has completed their cyclical review. Region 8 LEAs will be able to participate in this Zoom via the Zoom link provided in the registration confirmation email.
