Did you know that as Career & Technical Education teachers, we are responsible for supporting academic performance in our CTE courses and programs?
One of the required activities contained within federal Perkins legislation is supporting academic performance in CTE students. In Texas, that means that we receive a performance score for CTE student performance on the English I & II, Biology, and Algebra I EOC exams.
One way that we can strengthen the academic rigor of our CTE classes is to implement deliberate writing activities in our classes. Even after they have completed the EOC exams, our students need strong written communication skills in order to be successful on ACT, SAT, TSIA, and on the job.
This on-demand course will introduce CTE teachers to a simple method to implement writing in their courses.
