This session will be led by, Norma Mercado, who was recently recognized by the New York Times as a one-woman rescue squad. Norma will bring her experience to help equip attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the legislative framework, practical strategies for enhancing collaboration with community partners, and hands-on problem-solving exercises centered around McKinney-Vento scenarios. By the end of this session, participants will have gained invaluable insights and best practices essential for implementing a robust McKinney-Vento Program in their districts. Whether you’re new to McKinney-Vento or seeking to refine your existing practices, this session promises to empower you with the tools needed to support students experiencing homelessness effectively.
