The Spring Counseling Network Session will offer professional development in the area of Responsive Services.  Jennifer Meyer from Texas Human Health and Services will present Fostering Resilience and Preventing Suicide - Best Practices in Suicide Postvention. 

Target Audience:  School Counselors, Communities in Schools (CIS) Coordinators, Local Mental Health Authorities (LMHAs), and any staff supporting student mental health.

Session Overview:  This session is designed to equip school staff and student support personnel with effective strategies to address the aftermath of a student suicide.  Suicide postvention is a critical component of a comprehensive mental health and wellness framework, aiming to support healing, reduce the risk of contagion, and foster resilience among students, staff and the broader school community.
