Parent and family and engagement includes regular, two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities. Family-school collaboration is a cooperative process of planning that brings together school staff, parents, students, and community members to maximize resources for student achievement and development.
Districts and campuses that receive Title I, Part A funds must conduct outreach to all parents and family members and implement programs, activities, and procedures for the involvement of parents and family members. Such programs, activities, and procedures shall be planned and implemented with meaningful consultation with parents of participating children.
Training will address requirements of PFE under ESSA.
