Meeting the Needs of Newcomer Emergent Bilingual Students

This session is for teachers who have newcomer emergent bilingual students in their classroom at the beginning and intermediate level of English proficiency. Participants will learn how to provide a safe and thriving environment, meet their affective needs, provide high-quality instruction, and establish partnerships with newcomer families.

Important Session Information:

Newcomer Emergent Bilingual students have specific affective, cognitive and linguistic needs that must be addressed for academic and linguistic success. Come learn how you can help these students adjust to their new surrounding and begin making academic gains across content areas.
