Geometry and measurement are two facets that need strong foundations for moving into more advanced mathematics. This session for 3rd-5th grade math teachers will cover the essentials of two and three-dimensional shapes, area, perimeter and volume with concrete exploration. We’ll also move vertically along grade levels into using the familiar number line and geometric understandings to explore the coordinate system with real world application.
