Poetry: Collaborating Around Complex Text, Grades 3-5
Share
Poetry is an art form that connects the reader to the world around them. As students learn to read and interact with poetry across a variety of poetic forms, they will learn to analyze the author’s craft in order to interpret, visualize, comprehend, and respond to poetry on a different level. We will connect the genre characteristics of poetry and develop the process of teaching our students to compose original poems by using their reading connections.
