In this session we will discuss the ESL TEKS-based courses ELLA, ESOL, and ELDA designed to address the affective, linguistic, and cognitive needs of emergent bilingual (EB) students in middle and high school.
These courses address all of the TEKS required in RLA courses offered in the general curriculum but have additional student expectations to support second language acquisition. Join us to ensure your course implementation provides focused, targeted, and systematic second language acquisition instruction to provide EB students with the foundation of English language vocabulary, grammar, syntax, and English mechanics necessary to support content-based instruction and accelerated learning of English.
