Day 2

Are you interested in learning about forestry and the environment? Do you want to help your middle/high school students pursue a fun outdoor career in natural resources? Come join us on some exciting outdoor tours showcasing these careers. We will explore a tree farm, logging operation, and forest products manufacturing facility where you will learn about Texas working forests and STEM forestry careers. Additionally, you will become certified in Project Learning Tree's Green Jobs Curriculum, which includes four hands-on instructional activities to help youth research forestry jobs and practice managing and monitoring forest resources. The curriculum is TEKS-aligned and STEM oriented. Region 8 will pay your $20 registration fee, lunch and transportation to sites will be provided as well!
