Specific Learning Disabilities Series: Informal Data Collection and Integration

The Core-Selective Evaluation Process utilizes multiple sources of data. TEA is clear that evaluators need to use multiple sources of data and not over-rely on norm-referenced tests to make decisions. In fact, evaluators are encouraged to use curriculum-based measurement to describe a student’s pattern of strengths and weakness and link it to instruction. Participants will learn how to integrate informal data from other sources and learn three assessment strategies that are curriculum-based. The CSEP framework will be used, but all evaluation staff can benefit from this session.
