Teacher Assignment Rules state that any teacher assigned to teach a Student to Industry Connections, Career Preparation, or Practicum course must be trained in state/federal laws pertaining to student workers as well as workplace safety. This session is an opportunity for teachers to learn those guidelines and share best practices for managing a Career Prep or Practicum program.

Note:  Online training is available through TEA. Teachers can either take the Region 8 ESC face-to-face or the TEA online version to meet the state requirement. Teachers do not have to renew training annually but are welcome to attend for updates.
