Paving the Way: Equipping Students with Disabilities with Tools for Adult Success






Welcome to Paving the Way! A Partners Resource Network and the Region 8 Education Service Center collaboration. This High School youth conference on transition provides youth with differing abilities, their parents, supporters and school staff to gather for a day of informative sessions about futures planning. Parent sessions will address guardianship and the alternatives, person-centered thinking, College, and more.  Sessions for youth will cover topics such as self-advocacy , safety, financial literacy supports, and jobs.  Explore local resources, businesses, colleges, and vocational training opportunities! Texas Workforce, Community Healthcore and Department of State Health Services will be in attendance. Teachers and transition specialists... Bring a bus of students to this unique event! We look forward to seeing you all at Region 8.
