Participants will work collaboratively to plan for the first two grading periods of 11th Grade U.S. History for the 2022-23 school year. Time will be spent discussing content as well as effective strategies to create more engaging, meaningful connections for students and to focus on effective teaching and learning. Participants will be introduced to a variety of activities, technology tools, and basic classroom management strategies that foster successful teaching and learning. Participants will also become more effective in using TEKS Resource System and Implementing TEKS Resource System tools as building blocks for instruction and planning.
This workshop is the first of three in a series this school year. Comprehensively, our work throughout the year in these three sessions will focus on student success on the EOC in May. These sessions will be very beneficial to both experienced teachers looking to bring new ideas and concepts into their instruction as well as teachers new to the classroom or subject area.
