Teaching Secondary Math in the 21st Century

Society is changing, technology is changing, but 2+2 still equals 4.  It would seem that mathematics teaching was impervious to the changes in this world, but nothing could be farther from the truth.  Society, technology, and standardized testing are all looking less for single absolute answers and more for creative solutions that may produce expected answers or may provide a previously unconsidered result.

If you are looking to be a teacher that embraces this change in the approach to teaching mathematics, come join us as we look at learning to teach students to think mathematically, creatively and computationally.  Expect to re-wire or re-ignite some of your personal philosophies as we look at both research and strategies to begin this journey to change.  This session isn't the end, it will only be the beginning.  "To infinity and beyond."
